QR codes for trade show booths

Booth graphics are among the most expensive printed things a company owns, and they are deliberately reused across a season. The campaign behind them changes at every show.

What changes behind the code

  • The offer or campaign, which is usually specific to the show.
  • The lead-capture form, and which event it attributes to.
  • Demo and content links, as the product moves between shows.

What a reprint costs here

Large-format booth panels are costly per square metre and are specified months ahead. Reprinting for a single show defeats the reason they were built to be reusable in the first place.

What to point it at

  • A show-specific landing page, so scans are attributable to that event.
  • A lead form or demo booking during the show itself.
  • A follow-up or content page in the weeks after, while the panels are in storage.

Use a separate code per panel

Scan counts per code tell you which panel and which position actually earned attention. One code across the booth throws that away.

Set the destination the day before

Booth codes are the easiest to forget, because the graphics arrive already correct. Repointing is a setup-day task, like power and wifi.
